  • The Continuous Scan feature of LANsurveyor automatically keeps your network maps up-to-date and accurate.

Continuous Scan enables network managers and engineers to view changes on the network enterprise-wide from a single computer, even across switches. Continuous Scan uses one or more LANsurveyor maps as the base line network environment, and identifies changes to that baseline in real-time – then keeps both the LANsurveyor diagram and database up-to-date.

Once a new node is discovered, LANsurveyor adds the node to the Threat List, attempts to authenticate the node, and alerts the administrator to newly discovered nodes. If you have deployed managed switches or hubs, LANsurveyor can also tell you exactly how the nodes are connected to your network and can automatically disable network access for rogue nodes.

"LANsurveyor is THE best piece of network admin software I've ever used."
