You can get instant information about any of the objects on the map or create a Custom Report. The Custom Report feature allows you to create reports using approximately 200 different pieces of information. Custom Reports can be saved, rerun, and exported into Microsoft Excel with a single click on the appropriate toolbar icon or selection from the Report menu. This tutorial will give you information about one or more map nodes and create a custom hardware asset report.
Step 1 of 3: Draw a Map
Use the map you created in Draw Your Network Map or create a new map that includes all your Responders. Make sure you select the Responder option in the TCP/IP services section of the Create New Network Map dialog box.

Step 2 of 3: Instant Information
Get instant information about any map item by clicking on the map item and selecting Get Info from the Tools menu or double-clicking on the map icon. Get information about more than one item by selecting them and clicking on the Get Info icon
.
Step 3 of 3: Custom Report Wizard
Click on the Custom Report toolbar icon
or select New Custom Report in the Report menu to create a Custom Report. Once selected, the Custom Report Wizard is displayed.
Any computers already selected on the map will be checked. To select all the Neon Responders, click on the check box next to "Neon Responder Nodes" and click Next.
Select the fields you would like to include in your report. If you select a field not available on a node (e.g., SNMP data when SNMP is not available on a node), the field is left blank in the report.

You can view a complete list of all the available fields in the LANsurveyor manual or in the online help (press F1 in LANsurveyor and open the LANsurveyor Report Fields appendix). Click Next.
Now schedule the time to run the report or select "now" and click Finish.
The report is generated. Click on any column to sort by that column. Once completed, you can save the report or click on the View Report with Excel button to automatically open the report in Excel.
